Hillcrest Commons Offers Session on Eating for Health and Pleasure
PITTSFIELD — Hillcrest Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center will offer an informational session on “Common-sense Eating for Health and Pleasure” on Wednesday, April 29 at 10 a.m. at the Ralph Froio Senior Center in Pittsfield.
The event — part of the “Berkshire Senior Subjects” series offered on the last Wednesday of each month — will include a free continental breakfast. The guest speaker is Michael Glasser, lead dietitian at Hillcrest Commons. The presentation is free and open to the public. Registration is requested by calling (413) 445-9747 by April 27.
Hillcrest Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is a nonprofit organization that has been caring for people in the Berkshire area since 1995. The center provides short-term rehabilitation, long-term skilled-nursing care, respite care, and specialized Alzheimer’s and dementia care, all in a home-like setting. Specialty services include a ventilator program to support ventilator-dependent patients or to wean dependence, and a behavioral-health program for those with chronic psychiatric conditions.
