HMC Celebrates 125 Years with Anniversary Gala
HOLYOKE — Holyoke Medical Center will celebrate 125 years with an Anniversary Gala on Sept. 16 at the Log Cabin in Holyoke.
“A century and a quarter ago, visionary leaders recognized the need for a hospital to serve the people of Holyoke and the surrounding communities. Through their generous commitment of time and philanthropy, the hospital became a reality,” said Spiros Hatiras, President and Chief Executive Officer, Holyoke Medical Center and Valley Health Systems, Inc. “In celebration of our 125thAnniversary, we hope to see many of you at the Gala to join the festivities, to share the memories of our past, and the commitment to our future growth.”
The 125th Anniversary Gala will feature a champagne cocktail hour, a seven-course chef’s dinner, each with its own wine pairing, and a silent auction to support Holyoke Medical Center. Chef courses will be a tour de palette, ranging from lobster, to Chateaubriand, to chocolate. All attendants will also receive a complimentary copy of the Holyoke Medical Center: 125 Years of Caring for Our Community book, created in partnership with the Republican.
“This event is sure not to disappoint, and well worth your support of Holyoke Medical Center,” said executive chef and co-owner of the Log Cabin and Delaney House, Mick Corduff.
Tickets to the event, which is open to the public, are $125 each and available online at www.holyokehealth.com/gala or by contacting Christina Grass Reynolds in the HMC Development Office at (413) 535-4731. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
