HMC Presents Free Program on Carpal Tunnel
HOLYOKE — Holyoke Medical Center will present a free community-education program concerning Carpal tunnel syndrome on Tuesday, March 2 at 6 p.m. in the Auxiliary Conference Center (formerly known as the Holyoke Medical Center Auditorium).
The featured speaker will be HMC occupational therapist Jule? Sherman.
Carpal tunnel syndrome is a common source of hand numbness and pain. It is more common in women than men and affects up to 10{06cf2b9696b159f874511d23dbc893eb1ac83014175ed30550cfff22781411e5} of the population. Sherman, a hand specialist, will discuss some of the causes of carpal tunnel, how the diagnosis is made, and what treatment options are currently available.
