Holyoke Medical Center Cuts Ribbon at Renovated Gift & Coffee Shop

HOLYOKE — The Holyoke Medical Center Gift & Coffee Shop is hosting a grand re-opening with a ribbon cutting today at 10 a.m.

The hospital’s renovated coffee shop opened in mid-October 2015 with the introduction of Starbucks Coffee, grab-and-go sandwiches, salads, and hot soups. Also available is a wide variety of sundries and gift items, including seasonal holiday items such as Valentine’s Day gifts and decorations, gifts for new babies and moms, and items for other special occasions.

Renovations for the new Gift & Coffee Shop were donated by the Holyoke Hospital Auxiliary Assoc. The decades-old organization is comprised of volunteers who work tirelessly to raise funds for the medical center, prioritizing special departmental needs as they arise.

Free samples of coffees and baked goods will be served each day this week at the following times: today, 10-11 a.m.; Tuesday, Jan. 26, 11 a.m. to noon; Wednesday, Jan. 27, noon to 1 p.m.; Thursday, Jan. 28, 1-2 p.m.; and Friday, Jan. 29, 2-3 p.m.

Daily prizes will be raffled. Each purchase at the Gift & Coffee Shop will be entered into a raffle for an HMC Gift & Coffee Shop gift card. A grand-prize drawing will be held on Friday, Jan. 29. A New England Patriots football signed by members of the team and a gift basket with Starbucks and HMC-related merchandise will be raffled.
