Holyoke Medical Center to Offer Free Health & Wellness Fair at Holyoke YMCA on Sept. 24

HOLYOKE — Holyoke Medical Center will host a free Health & Wellness Fair on Tuesday, Sept. 24 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Holyoke YMCA located at 171 Pine St. This event is free and open to the public and is sponsored in part by the Holyoke YMCA, Abbott, Dexcom, and Novo Nordisk.

“Holyoke Medical Center is dedicated to improving the health of the community we serve and supporting people to live a more balanced, healthy life. Guests can learn about household-wide lifestyle changes to help them live better,” said Lisa Wray Schechterle, director of Community Benefits at Holyoke Medical Center. “This family-friendly, interactive event will have activities for the whole family.”

The Greater Holyoke YMCA will demonstrate how to incorporate exercise into a daily routine. Guests can learn about Holyoke Medical Center specialties available. The Health & Wellness Fair will also offer free blood-pressure screenings, free bilingual recipe books, healthy cooking demonstrations, raffles, and more. Children’s activities, including a bounce house, will also be available.
