Holyoke Medical Center to Offer Free Lecture on Opioid Dependence
HOLYOKE — Holyoke Medical Center will host a free discussion, “Addressing Opioid Dependence,” on Wednesday, June 20 at 5:30 p.m. in the HMC Auxiliary Conference Center.
The opioid epidemic has been in the global spotlight in the last few years, but what is it, and what can be done to stop it? Join Dr. Amy Jaworek, director of HMC’s new Comprehensive Care Center, and learn about opioid dependency and the new ways in which Holyoke Medical Center is combating it.
This program is free and open to the public, and is part of Holyoke Medical Center’s community education programming. This is one in a series of workshops held throughout the year to help people learn about specific health issues, wellness, prevention and treatment.
