Honest Beginnings Announces In-house Recovery Coaching
BELCHERTOWN — Honest Beginnings announced that House Manager Dwight Southwick and Office Manager Deborah Hall have recently attained certifications from Recovery Coach Academy training, hosted by the Recover Project in Greenfield.
Recovery Coach Academy is the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery’s (CCAR) 30-hour intensive training which provides participants with the vital tools for linking persons in recovery to the services, supports, and resources that sustain recovery.
Honest Beginnings will soon offer Recovery Coaching as part of its programming, and will begin working toward final Massachusetts certification requirement of 500 hours of practical experience in addition to the certificate already received through the Recover Project and CCAR.
Founded in 2008, Honest Beginnings is one of few local addiction-recovery homes. Certified by the Mass. Assoc. of Sober Housing, Honest Beginnings assists men in making the transition from addiction to living a healthy and sober life in recovery.
