MISSION STATEMENT
Link to Libraries is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in May 2008. Our mission is to collect and distribute new books to elementary school libraries and students in underserved communities to enhance the language and literacy skills
of children from all cultural backgrounds.
WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
Link to Libraries, a 501(c)(3) organization, is proud to be the largest distributor of books to underserved youth in Western Mass. and Northern Conn. Since our inception, we have donated more than 1 million new books to school libraries and to the home libraries of children in need, many of whom have never previously owned a book. Learning to read proficiently is a child’s best chance for success in school and in life. By increasing their access to books, LTL strives to inspire young readers and enhance the language and literacy skills of children of all cultural backgrounds. Link to Libraries has placed nearly 200 classroom readers in underserved schools, and now has 70 schools and nonprofit organizations sponsored under the LTL Community Book Link Program. Link to Libraries is looking for community partners to ensure underserved school libraries and students have the books they need to succeed.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNTIES
Link to Libraries has a wide range of opportunities for volunteers of all ages. There are a multitude of ways to help, from becoming a classroom reader to labeling and packaging books, to event planning and support. Please visit our website if you would like to join the team.
