Jewish Geriatric Employees Honored
LONGMEADOW — Jewish Geriatric Services recently honored the hard work and longevity of employees with its President’s Award, Welcome to the Family Award, and Tenure Award.
Peter Yee of Springfield, certified nursing assistant at the Julian J. Leavitt Family Jewish Nursing Home, received the President’s Award for his years of exceptional service. Helen LeClair of Chicopee, reimbursement clerk for Spectrum Home Health Care/A JGS Home Care Company, received the Welcome to the Family Award, given for the exceptional work of those with less than one year of service.
In addition to Yee and LeClair, nine employees were recognized for their nominations in this award program. They include Christina Orciari, Sandy Pedro, Audrey Crennan, Ava Wills, and Martha Carter of Spectrum Home Health Care. Also, Ana Guzman and Charlene Drake of the Wernick Adult Day Health Care Center, Michelle Adkins of the Julian J. Leavitt Family Jewish Nursing Home, and Roxanne Wiese of JGS Family Medical Care.
Also, 90 employees from throughout JGS received Tenure Awards for years of service and commitment. Geraldine Bresnahan and Louise Lapponese of the laundry and housekeeping departments, respectively, of the Julian J. Leavitt Family Jewish Nursing Home were recognized for 30 years of service, and Luana Smith of the housekeeping department of the Julian J. Leavitt Family Jewish Nursing Home was recognized for 25 years of service.
