Linda Manor Assisted Living to Host Financial-planning Seminar

LEEDS — Linda Manor Assisted Living will host a free financial-planning seminar on Wednesday, Dec. 6 with two sessions at noon and 5:30 p.m. The seminar will be led by elder-law attorney Karen Jackson, and will include information on the ‘big five’ — will, durable power of attorney, healthcare proxy, HIPAA release, and advance directives.

Jackson has been an attorney since 1978 and is focused on elder law and estate planning. She is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Western Massachusetts Elder Professional Assoc., the Greater Springfield Estate Planning Council, and the Pioneer Valley Estate Planning Council. She also teaches estate planning and elder law to members of the community at Holyoke Community College.
