Linda Manor Assisted Living to Host Seminar on Sexuality and Aging

LEEDS — Linda Manor Assisted Living will host the Pioneer Valley’s first-ever sexuality and aging conference on Thursday, Sept. 14 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The SHINE (Sexual Health In a New Era) Summit will include informative topics benefitting those who work with older adults. Joan Ditzion, LICSW, one of the authors of Our Bodies, Ourselves, will be the keynote speaker to set the tone for a full day. The event will be facilitated by Ashley Mader, LICSW.

Mader is a psychotherapist, sex therapist, educator, and consultant who specializes in older adults. She runs a private practice with a focus on older adult sexuality and aging transitions. She also has a blog called “SHINE: Sexual Health In a New Era” (www.ourshine.org) and co-hosts the podcast “Our Better Half.”
