Local Attorney Returns to Alma Mater to Lead Medicaid Discussion
SPRINGFIELD — Attorney Michele Feinstein, a shareholder at Shatz, Schwartz and Fentin, P.C., will present at the 13th annual public forum, “The Asset Protection Series – Prepare for the Unknown,” at Western New England University. This evening forum will take place Wednesday, June 22 from 6 to 8:30 p.m., with registration beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Medicaid and asset-protection planning are facets of elder-law planning that should not be overlooked. The two sessions will discuss the regulatory differences for applicants applying for nursing homes versus community programs through a look at asset transfers and income-eligibility limits. The forum will also provide a current explanation of MassHealth-funded programs.
Feinstein concentrates her practice in the areas of estate planning and administration, elder law, probate litigation, health law, corporate and business planning (including all aspects of planning for the succession of business interests), representation of closely held businesses and their owners, and representation of physicians in their individual and group practices. She is a cum laude graduate of the Western New England University School of Law, where she was a member of the Law Review, and Boston University, where she first earned her bachelor’s degree summa cum laude and later a master of laws in taxation.
This free, after-work session will be held at WNEU’s Center for the Sciences and Pharmacy, Room 200. Attendees should register by June 15. For more information or to register, call (413) 796-2260 or e-mail ldias@wne.edu.
