Loomis Communities to Launch OpenView Program with July 10 Event
SPRINGFIELD — The Loomis Communities will introduce OpenView, a new program to support cognitive health among those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, with an event and panel discussion on Wednesday, July 10 at 10 a.m. in the great room in the Mezzanine at Loomis Lakeside at Reeds Landing, 807 Wilbraham Road, Springfield.
OpenView is the first program of its kind in the region and is based on the learnings gained by a program called SAIDO in Japan that has been effective in sustaining cognitive health. The SAIDO approach replaces locked units where those with cognitive impairments are restricted in their movements.
The July 10 launch will feature a panel with Loomis Communities President and CEO Margaret Mantoni and resident Ann McIntosh, providing an opportunity for attendees to learn about the new program and how it can benefit residents and others who are facing cognitive-health challenges.
