Loomis Lakeside at Reeds Landing to Host Annual Egg Hunt on April 19

SPRINGFIELD — Loomis Lakeside at Reeds Landing, a member of the Loomis Communities, will host a free Easter egg hunt, an annual tradition, for up to 250 children on Saturday, April 19 at 807 Wilbraham Road, Springfield. Sign-up opens at 10:30 a.m. and the egg hunt starts at 11 a.m. The event is hosted in collaboration with Mount Zion Baptist Church in Springfield, Suez Temple #114, and Suez Court No. 149.

The third annual egg hunt will feature more than 1,200 Easter eggs, prizes, and a photo with the Easter Bunny. There will also be face painting, a balloon artist, and light refreshments.

Children ages 3-12 from Mount Zion Baptist Church will participate in the event, along with children from the local Springfield community. Officials from the Loomis Communities, Mount Zion Baptist Church, Suez Temple, and Suez Court will also be present at the event.

Those who would like to volunteer for this event should contact Devin Cameron at (413) 532-5325 or dcameron@loomiscommunities.org. Volunteers will help with parking, distributing the eggs for the hunt, passing out bags of candy and popcorn, registration, and otherwise assisting anyone who may need help.

Candy donations are also being accepted. The retirement community is accepting unopened, individually wrapped candy, which can be dropped off to the concierge at Loomis Lakeside at Reeds Landing, 807 Wilbraham Road, Springfield.
