March 13 Lecture to Tackle Countertransference
SPRINGFIELD — Dr. Glen Gabbard will deliver a lecture on “Countertransference in the Long-term Psychotherapy of Borderline Personality Disorder” on March 13 from 1 to 4 p.m. in the UMass Center at Tower Square, 1500 Main St., Springfield.
The course will train medical directors, senior clinicians, interns, and fellows, and is designed to outline the common countertransference patterns that emerge in the psychotherapy of borderline personality disorder. A special emphasis will be placed on understanding the relationship between countertransference and possible boundary violations. Continuing-education credits are available for PhD, LMHC, and social workers.
