Mary Lane Health Fair Set For Feb. 2

WARE — Mary Lane Hospital and the Community Outreach Department will present the hospital’s seventh annual health fair on Saturday, Feb. 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the first and second floors of the hospital.
This year’s fair will include informational booths with materials available on a host of hospital services, including the Senior Class Membership Program, Women’s Health Network/Spirit of Women, Mary Lane Hospital’s Community Outreach Department and its CPR and First Aid courses, the Mary Lane Hospital Auxiliary, the hospital’s development council, the Adult Day Health Program, Food and Nutrition Services, and rehab services.

Tina Valois, R.N., manager of the Community Outreach Dept., said there will also be interactive booths on Reiki, colon hydrotherapy, massage therapy, Clinical Aromatherapy, back relaxation with the use of magnets, and other subjects.

A new feature this year will be a booth for Western New England Renal and Transplant Associates, which will be on hand with information on hypertension and kidney risk and will screen for anemia through a hemoglobin test.
