Mass. Medical Society Set for 16th Annual Leadership Forum Oct. 22
WALTHAM — The Mass. Medical Society will hold its 16th annual State of the State’s Health Care Leadership Forum on Thursday, Oct. 22 from 8 a.m. to noon, with local and national healthcare leaders as featured speakers.
The lineup of presenters includes Maura Healey, Massachusetts Attorney General; Dr. Monica Bharel, state commissioner of Public Health; Dr. David Feinberg, president and CEO of the Geisinger Health System in Pennsylvania; and Dr. Troyen Brennan, executive vice president and chief medical officer of CVS Health.
Among the topics for presentation are healthcare costs and transparency; the experience of Geisinger Health System, nationally recognized for its innovative approaches to healthcare delivery; the impact of public health on cost, quality, and access to care; and the role of retail clinics in healthcare.
The forum is hosted by Dr. Dennis Dimitri, president of the Mass. Medical Society and moderated by Jim Braude, host of WGBH-TV’s Greater Boston and co-host of WGBH’s Boston Public Radio, and Margery Egan, co-host of WGBH’s Boston Public Radio and columnist for the Boston Globe website www.cruxnow.com.
