Massachusetts Dental Society Welcomes Conor McNulty as Executive Director
SOUTHBOROUGH — Conor McNulty has been appointed executive director of the Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS), an association that represents 5,000-plus member dentists and is a statewide constituent of the American Dental Assoc.
McNulty has served as executive director of the Oregon Dental Assoc. since 2014. Prior to Oregon, he served in various management roles with the California Dental Assoc., one of the largest and most innovative healthcare organizations in the country.
“I am very excited to welcome Conor to the MDS,” said Dr. Janis Moriarty, president of the Massachusetts Dental Society. “He is a dynamic, energizing person who comes highly recommended as being an insightful leader and team player. His experience in change management and governance reform will help him guide the MDS through the first years of our new governance structure. He is data-driven and focused on successful outcomes, and I am very much looking forward to working with him.”
McNulty holds a certified association executive designation from the American Society of Association Executives. Active and recognized as a leader within association-management circles, he was honored as a Forty Under 40 Association Leader by Association Forum of Chicagoland and USAE News in 2017.
“I am honored and thrilled to join such a dynamic and respected organization as the Massachusetts Dental Society,” McNulty said. “I look forward to supporting MDS members and am excited to work closely with the leadership and talented staff to continue advancing the strategic vision of the organization each day.”
Prior to association work, McNulty spent time in corporate marketing, publishing, and business development. He earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of San Francisco.
McNulty succeeds Dr. Robert Boose, who is retiring as executive director after 18 years of service to the Massachuetts Dental Society.
