Mattocks Is Named River Valley CEO

HOLYOKE — David G. Mattocks, Ph.D, of Vernon, Vermont has been named chief executive officer of River Valley Counseling Center, Inc., a multi-service behavioral health provider with offices in Holyoke, Chicopee and Springfield.

River Valley is affiliated with Holyoke Medical Center through its parent organization, Valley Health Systems.

Mattocks, who had most recently worked as director of adult services at The United ARC of Franklin & Hampshire counties in Greenfield, has more than 30 years of management experience in behavioral health programs of all types, as well as in developmental disabilities/mental retardation and physical rehabilitation programs and services.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Development from Cornell University, master’s degrees from both St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia (Health Administration) and the University of Phoenix (Organizational Management), and a doctorate from Parkwood University, London, U.K. in Health Services Administration.
