McCleary Manor Opens at Former Brightside Location
HOLYOKE — Providence Ministries and the Sisters of Providence are proud to announce the grand opening of McCleary Manor at the former Brightside orphanage and behavior facility, 40 Brightside Dr., Holyoke. The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on Friday, May 29 at 10 a.m., with tours of the facility and light refreshments to follow.
McCleary Manor has been developed into a 25-unit permanent housing facility for low-income men in recovery. Since 1980, Providence Ministries has dedicated itself to providing low-income individuals of the Greater Holyoke area with food, shelter, and clothing.
The public is invited to join Bishop Mitchell Rozanski, state Sen. Donald Humason, Holyoke Mayor Alex Morse, and Kathleen Anderson, president of the Greater Holyoke Chamber of Commerce, as they celebrate with Providence Ministries and the Sisters of Providence in dedicating the facility, which is named in honor of Sr. Margaret McCleary, founder of Providence Ministries.
