Mercy LIFE Five-year Celebration Slated for May 30
WEST SPRINGFIELD — Mercy LIFE will celebrate “Growing Strong, Five Years Long” at a special celebration on Thursday, May 30, beginning at 4:30 p.m. at the Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). Mercy LIFE is located at 200 Hillside Circle in West Springfield.
Remarks open at 5 p.m. with a welcome by Trinity Health PACE President and CEO Kelly Hopkins, followed by a Mercy LIFE overview by center Director Tracy Carroll and an update about upcoming on-site, subsidized housing, Hillside Residence, by Sister Kathleen Popko, president of the Sisters of Providence. Mercy LIFE participant Hank Tenzcar and caregiver Brenda Labbe will share their perspectives of how Mercy LIFE has had a positive influence on their quality of life. In closing, Mitchell Rozanski, bishop of the Diocese of Springfield, will offer a blessing of Mercy LIFE’s next chapters. Tours will be available.
Mercy LIFE is a PACE organization that has served Hampden and Hampshire county seniors since March 2014. A total of 126 PACE organizations serve more than 49,000 enrollees in 31 states. PACE enrollees are age 55 and over and need a nursing-home level of care, but more than 95% are able to live in the community with the services and support they receive through PACE.
