Mercy Medical Center Pauses New First-dose Vaccine Appointments
SPRINGFIELD — In an effort to get ahead of any possible confusion about scheduling and fulfilling appointments at the Mercy Medical Center COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic, the hospital is clarifying the current vaccine availability.
“Due to a limited supply of the COVID-19 vaccine, Mercy Medical Center is temporarily unable to schedule new appointments at our hospital-based clinic for patients eligible under the state’s phase-two guidelines,” said Dr. Robert Roose, chief medical officer. “We are hopeful to open up more first-dose appointments in the near future. If you or a family member already have an appointment for the first or second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, it will take place as scheduled at the Mercy Vaccine Clinic.”
