Mercy Medical Center Plans Third Annual Caritas Gala
SPRINGFIELD — Plans are underway for Mercy Medical Center’s third annual Caritas Gala on Saturday March 23 at MGM Springfield. With “An Evening at the Emmys” as its theme, the Caritas Gala will raise funds to benefit the greatest needs of Mercy Medical Center, including renovations to the Emergency Department, which will ensure reduced wait times, provide additional patient beds, and deliver a better patient experience.
Honorary chairpersons for the event include Paul Marchese, current vice chair of Mercy Medical Center’s board of trustees; Dr. Louis Durkin, medical director of the Emergency Department; Erin Daley, director of Emergency Room Services; and Carolyn Meuse, Emergency Department complex care quality coordinator.
“We are thrilled to bring our gala to MGM this year, and have had such a great response from the community,” said Carrie Fuller, chief Development officer for Mercy Medical Center. “The event will sell out, helping to ensure that we are able to invest important philanthropic dollars into Mercy to provide the best of patient care when individuals need us most.”
The Caritas Gala will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception, live entertainment, and a silent auction. Dinner will be served at 8 p.m., followed by a live auction and dancing until midnight. Pre-registration is required by March 1. For more information or to purchase tickets to the gala, visit www.mercycares.com/caritasgala.
