MHA’s Cheryl Fasano Gets Technical in New Podcast
SPRINGFIELD — Podagus is a podcast series in which host Delcie Bean, CEO of Hadley-based Paragus I.T., speaks with leaders many organizations in order to explore the impact of technology, both today and in the future. In the latest Podagus episode, Bean speaks with Cheryl Fasano, CEO of the Mental Health Assoc. (MHA) in Springfield.
The podcast is available at www.paragusit.com/podagus/episode-7-cheryl-fasano.
“I have been told that I know just enough about technology to make me dangerous, which I take as a compliment, but being savvy with technology really comes down to being smart with how you use it,” Fasano said. “At my first nonprofit, there was no use of technology at all. I brought in the first computer, but didn’t really know a lot about computers at the time, so I learned. One thing I learned is you can have the latest and greatest device, but you have to learn what it can do and explore how to make it work for your organization. For me, being tech-savvy comes down to an intuitive sense of what can be.”
Added Bean, “we often talk about technology in broad, generalized strokes. “The intent of this podcast was to dig much deeper and learn about how technology is driving innovation and the future within specific industries. By producing this podcast, we have had the opportunity to learn, meet fascinating people, and create content that we hope others have found as informative and interesting as we have.”
