MiraVista Behavioral Health Center Marks Four Years of Service

HOLYOKE — MiraVista Behavioral Health Center is celebrating its four-year anniversary this month, commemorating a period of steady growth and expanded services.

Since opening its doors in April 2021, MiraVista has treated thousands of individuals from across the state and regionally, launched innovative programs, and attracted top talent to strengthen its clinical and leadership teams.

Among the highlights of the past year has been the addition of new executive leadership, bringing renewed energy, vision, and operational expertise to MiraVista’s mission. This includes professionals with deep experience in behavioral health, healthcare finance, and strategic development, each committed to ensuring sustainable growth while preserving the center’s core values of dignity, respect, and hope.

“Our focus has always been on quality—and that focus continues to guide us as we grow,” said Shelley Zimmerman, hospital administrator at MiraVista. “What we have accomplished in four years is nothing short of incredible, and it is a direct reflection of the exceptional people who work here. Every single member of our team contributes to our success by putting patients first and supporting one another through the challenging yet deeply meaningful work of behavioral health care. Their commitment makes every year—and every recovery story—possible.”

MiraVista’s services have expanded to include additional capacity for inpatient psychiatric treatment for adolescents and adults, outpatient substance use recovery programs, specialized support for individuals facing co-occurring disorders, and round-the-clock admissions. In response to the growing behavioral health crisis, the center has also enhanced its quality-improvement efforts, investing in staff training, data-informed practices, and infrastructure upgrades.
