MiraVista, TaraVista Appoint Karyn Rossacci Chief Nursing Officer

HOLYOKE, DEVENS — MiraVista Behavioral Health Center in Holyoke and TaraVista Behavioral Health Center in Devens — together known as the Vistas — announced the appointment of Karyn Rossacci as chief Nursing officer. Rossacci brings more than 20 years of clinical, operational, and academic nursing leadership to this role, spanning inpatient psychiatry, critical care, emergency services, employee health and wellness programming, and large-scale public health response efforts.

Most recently serving as chief Nursing officer and associate administrator at the Hospital for Behavioral Medicine in Worcester, Rossacci led clinical operations for five inpatient psychiatric units, supporting more than 180 nursing staff and guiding organizational accreditation and quality improvement initiatives. Her leadership is rooted in collaboration, professional accountability, and developing empowered nursing teams who feel supported in their practice.

“Choosing the Vistas was a meaningful and thoughtful decision for me,” Rossacci said. “MiraVista and TaraVista are places where compassionate care and human connection guide every interaction. The team here understands the courage it takes to seek help, and they meet that courage with dignity and skill. I am grateful for the opportunity to support our nurses and to help foster environments where patients, families, and staff feel respected, valued, and safe. It is an honor to join this work.”

Rossacci’s background includes leadership roles in behavioral health, urgent and emergency care, public health operations, and academic instruction in nursing education programs. She holds a doctor of nursing practice degree with a focus in nursing leadership from Regis College and is currently completing her MBA in healthcare administration.

“Karyn’s background reflects extensive experience leading nursing operations in behavioral healthcare settings,” said Fran Savageau, CEO of the Vistas. “Her approach to aligning clinical practice with organizational goals and regulatory standards will support our continued focus on quality, safety, and effective patient care. Karyn’s leadership will strengthen our nursing infrastructure across both MiraVista and TaraVista as we advance our mission to expand access to needed behavioral health services.”

As chief Nursing officer, Rossacci will oversee nursing practice across MiraVista and TaraVista, advancing clinical quality, professional development, patient safety, and staff engagement initiatives that align with the Vistas’ commitment to equitable, compassionate, person-centered care.
