MiraVista to Host Family-friendly Hiring Event for Nurses on April 16

HOLYOKE — MiraVista Behavioral Health Center is inviting registered nurses (RNs) and licensed practical nurses (LPNs) to explore meaningful career opportunities at a family-friendly hiring event on Tuesday, April 16 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Recognizing that many nurses balance both professional aspirations and family responsibilities, MiraVista is welcoming candidates to bring their children along. Activities will be available onsite to keep little ones engaged while parents connect with nursing leadership, learn more about behavioral health nursing, and explore full-time, part-time, and per diem opportunities.

This event comes at a time of continued growth for MiraVista, a 98-bed behavioral health hospital serving adolescents and adults across New England. Since opening in 2021, MiraVista has expanded access to both inpatient psychiatric care and outpatient substance use treatment, meeting individuals where they are with timely, compassionate support. Now, as the organization marks five years of care and a future of hope, that commitment continues to grow.

Most recently, MiraVista opened 10 additional inpatient psychiatric beds for adults, with further expansion under consideration to meet the increasing need for accessible mental healthcare across the region.

“We know that, for many nurses, exploring a new opportunity isn’t just about updating a résumé — it’s about finding the time and space to take that next step,” said Coreen Lord, director of Talent Acquisition. “By creating a welcoming, kid-friendly environment, we’re removing one more barrier and opening the door a little wider. We want nurses to be able to come as they are — whether that means bringing their experience, their questions, or their crew. Because when we support the whole person, we create space for great people to find their place in this work.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with recruiters and nurse leaders, gain insight into MiraVista’s approach to behavioral healthcare, and learn about the organization’s commitment to professional growth, stability, and team support.

For those unable to attend the event, MiraVista encourages nurses to connect directly to explore current openings and future opportunities by emailing Alicia Morel, Talent Acquisition specialist, at amorel@miravistabhc.care.
