MSB Partners with Agencies for Build-a-Bike Event
MONSON — In the spirit of its 150thAnniversary, Monson Savings Bank launched its 150 Build-a-Bike campaign this year, with more than $20,000 worth of bikes being purchased and donated to local children. The bank continues to partner with various Western Mass. non-profits to host Build-a-Bike events throughout the year.
Most recently, Monson Savings team members visited the Springfield Housing Authority with non-profit, I Found Light Against all Odds, to build bikes for local children.
“We are so grateful to Monson Savings and I Found Light Against All Odds for putting on this event,” said Robinson Garden Outreach Coordinator, Lynne Cimino. “I look forward to seeing the kids enjoying some carefree time riding their very own bicycle around the neighborhood. This event will have a lasting positive impact on them.”
Members of the Monson Savings Bank team helped the children assemble their new bikes with Ray Plouffe, owner of Family Bike Shop in East Longmeadow.
Throughout the summer, the bank will also partner with the South End Community Center and Educare Springfield to host more 150 Build-a-Bike events.
