Nation’s Physicians to Gather in Chicago for Annual Meeting
CHICAGO — The American Medical Assoc. (AMA) will gather physician and medical student leaders from all corners of medicine at its annual meeting in Chicago June 6-10 to shape the organization’s healthcare agenda.
For more than 165 years, the AMA has been committed to using its influence to shape a healthier future for America. The annual meeting features the AMA House of Delegates, the policy-making body at the center of American medicine, which brings together physicians, medical students, and residents representing every state and medical specialty.
Delegates will work in a democratic process to create a national physician consensus on emerging issues in public health, science, ethics, business, and government to continually provide safer, higher-quality, and more efficient care for patients and communities. The policies adopted at this meeting not only give the AMA direction, but also act as a driving force on the future of American medicine.
