Noble Hospital Volunteers to Be Honored at Luncheon
WESTFIELD — Noble Hospital will host a volunteer-appreciation luncheon on Wednesday, April 15 at East Mountain Country Club, 1458 East Mountain Road, Westfield, beginning at 11:30 a.m. The luncheon is held each year in honor of Noble’s volunteers and to celebrate National Volunteer Week.
In 2014, 118 volunteers gave more than 12,000 hours of service to Noble Hospital. This is the equivalent to more than $144,000 salary expense. Many volunteers have given generously of their time and talents for more than 10 years. Noble Hospital will recognize all its volunteers, in particular three individuals who have reached milestones in their volunteer hours: Jack Wolfe, 16,000 hours; Barbara Ross, 15,065 hours; and Joan Clendenin, 7,434 hours.
The social hour runs from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by lunch at 12:30 p.m. and the recognition program from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
National Volunteer Week is about inspiring, recognizing, and encouraging people to seek out imaginative ways to engage in their communities. Volunteers donate their time in many different departments throughout Noble Hospital. If you are interested in volunteering, call Laura Smigel at (413) 568-2811, ext. 5526.
