Nursing Home Ratings Addendum
In it’s June issue, The Healthcare News ran a listing of Western Mass. nursing homes and the scores from their most recent evaluations by the Mass. Dept. of Public Health. Two facilities were inadvertently left off the list.
Meadowwood Nursing Home in South Hadley earned an overall rating of 121 (out of a maximum 132). These scores broke down to 35 for Administration (out of a maximum 39), 29 for Nursing (out of 33), 26 for Resident Rights (out of 27), 11 for Food Service (out of 12), and 20 for Environment (out of 21). The two most recent survey dates were Jan. 30, 2002 and Feb. 28, 2001.
Cozy Corner Nursing Home in Sunderland earned an overall rating of 129. These scores broke down to 36 for Administration, 33 for Nursing, 27 for Resident Rights,12 for Food Service, and 21 for Environment. The two most recent survey dates were Nov. 21, 2001 and Dec. 19, 2000.
