O’Grady Named To Leadership Position At Mercy’s Family Life Center

SPRINGFIELD — Mercy Medical Center recently announced the appointment of J. Patrick O’Grady, M.D. to the position of medical director for Perinatology and the Family Life Center for Maternity.

O’Grady is a specialist in maternal-fetal medicine, with more than 30 years of clinical experience. After earning his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, he completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Yale New Haven Hospital, followed by a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the King-Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles.

For the 15 years prior to joining Mercy, O’Gracy served as a perinatologist at Baystate Medical Center in various clinical and administrative roles.

Under the direction of O’Grady, the Perinatology Study Unit at the Family Life Center for Maternity will soon offer perinatal consultations, routine and focused ultrasound examinations, and selected obstetric procedures.
