Orchard Valley to Host Presentation on Dementia-Related Behaviors

WILBRAHAM — Orchard Valley at Wilbraham will host the second part of an informational series in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Assoc. about understanding and responding to dementia-related behaviors. The free presentation will be held on Tuesday, June 20 from 4 to 5 p.m. at Orchard Valley, located at 2387 Boston Road, Wilbraham, and is open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.

Behaviors are a form of communication. This workshop will explore how to identify, understand, and respond to challenging behaviors. Attendees will be able to identify common triggers for behaviors associated with dementia, explain the process for assessing and identifying challenging behaviors, and learn strategies to address common dementia-related behaviors.
