Patient Shuttle Now Available Between Baystate and Franklin

GREENFIELD — A shuttle service for people with medical appointments at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield is now running on Mondays and Wednesdays from Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield.

The six-passenger minivan will leave BFMC at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. for the one-hour trip to Springfield, and will leave Springfield for the trip back to Franklin at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

This service is available to people who have medical appointments at Baystate for services not readily available at Franklin. The van is accessible to anyone who is able to ride unassisted in a standard passenger vehicle.

Reservations must be made by calling Access Services at BFMC, (413) 773-2233 , weekdays 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Each rider is asked for a $10 donation for the round trip; a family member or other individual accompanying the rider is asked for a $5 donation.
