Prostate Cancer Symposium Slated
The Mass. Prostate Cancer Coalition (MPCC) will bring together today’s leading physicians and medical professionals to share the latest in diagnosis, treatment, and research at the 2025 Massachusetts Prostate Cancer Symposium, a virtual event set for May 16, 8:30-11:15 a.m.
The symposium will be moderated by Jordan Rich, host of the MPCC Prostate Cancer & You podcast.
According to the American Cancer Society, prostate cancer is the second-leading cause of cancer death in American men, behind only lung cancer. With sessions on new treatments, clinical; trials, and family impacts, the MPCC Symposium will present innovative dialogues, understanding, and state-of-the-art research for those who are diagnosed at risk, survivors, and caregivers.
Speakers include:
• Keynote — Dr. Jean Joseph, University of Rocehester Medical Center;
• Dr. Alexander Cole, Brigham and Women’s Hospital;
• Dr. Sophia Kamran, Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center; and
• Dr. David Einstein, Beth Israel Medical Center.
Panelists for “Prostate Cancer, a Family Affair,” are Fran Halvorsen and Gary Halvorsen, prostate cancer advocates and support group leaders, and Landi Maduro, MPCC board member and filmmaker.
