Realtor Assoc. of Pioneer Valley Keeps Children at Shriners Warm
SPRINGFIELD — The Realtor Assoc. of Pioneer Valley’s community service committee gathered materials to help make blankets for the inpatients of Shriners Hospital for Children last month. Members of the community service committee, along with six members of Girl Scout Troops 11085 and 11520, came together to make more than 40 blankets for Shriners patients in Springfield.
Every child who comes in for surgery is given a touch of home with a homemade blanket and pillowcase, to make their stay at the hospital a little more comfortable. In addition to supporting Shriners, the Realtors Assoc. supports other community organizations, including monthly donations to local food banks.
