Rehab Resolutions Offering Alter-G Anti-gravity Treadmill
WEST SPRINGFIELD — Rehab Resolutions Inc. announced it has an anti-gravity treadmill in its West Springfield Office. An Alter-G treadmill, as it’s known, uses differential air pressure technology developed by NASA to counteract gravity and unweight the body to decrease forces on the hips, knees, and ankles.
The public is invited to an open house on Wednesday, Aug. 29 from 3 to 6 p.m. at 1111 Elm St., Suite 9, West Springfield.
Body weight can be reduced from 100{06cf2b9696b159f874511d23dbc893eb1ac83014175ed30550cfff22781411e5} to as low as 20{06cf2b9696b159f874511d23dbc893eb1ac83014175ed30550cfff22781411e5} while allowing normal walking mechanics in a safe and pain-free environment. It is used by several athletes, including Tom Brady). The Alter-G is best for people who are looking to increase their edge or recover quickly from injury, and is ideal for people living with orthopedic injuries (joint replacements, sprains, and strains), Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and stroke, as well as amputees, neurological patients, post-surgical patients (joint replacements and ligament repairs), seniors, patients with excess weight, and patients who are generally deconditioned. It is also ideal for athletic training or injury recovery for long-distance runners; football, basketball, and soccer players; and others.
Rehab Resolutions Inc. provides collaborative care services including but not limited to outpatient physical-therapy services, massage therapy, and social work and counseling.
