River Valley Counseling Center Raises Funds, Awareness at Golf Tournament
HOLYOKE — River Valley Counseling Center’s third annual golf tournament, held at the East Mountain Country Club in Westfield, raised more than $24,000 to support the services that RVCC provides to thousands of children and adults living in the Pioneer Valley. The event also raised awareness about mental health and the critical role that RVCC plays in bringing hope to individuals.
“Last year, RVCC provided services to over 7,500 individuals living in Hampden, Hampshire, and Franklin County. The funds raised will help us to continue providing caring, compassionate, and life-saving services to those in need,” said Rosemarie Ansel, RVCC’s executive director.
The event was made possible through the sponsorship of local businesses, including Action Ambulance Service Inc. as the presenting sponsor. Additional tournament sponsors included HCN, Palmer Paving Corp., UnitedHealthcare, Unidine, PeoplesBank, Hannoush Jewelers, CINTAS, Qualifacts, Goss & McLain Insurance, bankESB, Marsh & McLennan Agency, Dr. R. Gopal Malladi, Qualifacts, Genoa Healthcare, BMC HealthNet Plan, Just 4 Guys, and Jefferson Radiology.
The event was sold out this year. RVCC’s fourth annual golf tournament is slated for Friday, Sept. 13, 2019 at East Mountain Country Club.
