Rockridge to Host Free Seminar on Long-term Planning
NORTHAMPTON — As part of an effort to educate the public about the importance of long-term care planning and insurance, and the role it can play in helping to finance assisted living, Rockridge Retirement Community will host an informational seminar on Jan. 13 to increase long-term care insurance awareness in Western Mass.
Sponsored jointly by the Assisted Living Federation of America and the American Assoc. for Long-term Care Insurance, the seminar will answer questions and explain the long-term care planning process, long-term care insurance, and assisted living.
Richard Eisenberg of Eisenberg Associates Insurance Agency Inc., who has earned the designation ‘Certified in Long-Term Care’ after completing a rigorous multidisciplinary course focused on the profession of long-term care, will discuss types of long-term care options and benefits, the factors that go into to deciding whether to purchase long-term care insurance, and how much to purchase; there is no one-size-fits-all policy.
The seminar will be held at 4 p.m. at Rockridge Retirement Community. The seminar is free and open to the public, but reservations are required by calling (413) 586-2902, ext. 23, or E-mailing rcolacino@rockridgema.org.
