Ruth’s House to Host Dementia Support Groups in June

LONGMEADOW — Ruth’s House Assisted Living Residence, located on the JGS Lifecare campus and an affiliate of Legacy Lifecare, will hold specialized dementia support groups for area residents and their families during the month of June.

The dementia support groups will be held on Monday, June 9 and Monday, June 23 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Hosted by Scott Weiss, a certified support group facilitator, this dementia support group offers a safe space for caregivers to share experiences, receive emotional support, and gain practical tips for managing the challenges of dementia care. Weiss is a compassionate facilitator with extensive experience supporting caregivers of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease.

Admission is free and open to the public. Seating is limited and will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Light refreshments will be served.
