Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center to Host Open House Today
SPRINGFIELD — The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center will host an Open House today, May 23 at 327 Liberty St., Springfield. Lunch will be provided at 11:30 a.m., followed by a presentation at noon about access and services, including counseling, work therapy, and recreation. Tours of the residence and warehouse will follow.

For more than 100 years, the Salvation Army’s Adult Rehabilitation Centers have provided spiritual, social, and emotional assistance for men and women who have lost the ability to cope with their problems and provide for themselves. Centers offer housing, healthy food, work therapy, leisure-time activities, spiritual guidance, and group and individual therapy in a clean, wholesome environment with the goal of preparing residents to re-enter society and return to gainful employment. The center in Springfield is a long-term (6- to 12-month) residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation center with a capacity of 70 men.
