Second Chance, Teddy Bear Pools Unite to Promote Pet Health
CHICOPEE — Second Chance Animal Services and Teddy Bear Pools and Spas in Chicopee announced a community vaccine clinic offering free distemper and parvo vaccinations for dogs and cats. This event will be held at Teddy Bear Pools at 41 East Street on Friday, July 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In addition to free distemper vaccines, rabies vaccinations will be available for $18, and microchipping services will be offered for $22. Free small pet beds will also be distributed by Second Chance while supplies last.
This community vaccine clinic is part of Second Chance’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the health and well-being of pets. With a mission to improve the lives of animals and the people who love them, Second Chance Animal Services is dedicated to providing essential veterinary care in accessible and convenient locations.
Pet owners are encouraged to take advantage of this clinic, made possible by a grant from PetcoLove. All services will be administered by Second Chance veterinary professionals.
To ensure a smooth and efficient process, online registration for the vaccine clinic is available by clicking here. Pre-registration is recommended, but walk-ins will be accommodated based on availability. No registration is necessary to receive a free pet bed, donated by Chewy in partnership with the Humane Society of the United States.
Ted Hebert, owner of Teddy Bear Pools, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Barbara and I are humbled to have the opportunity to help our furry friends and the communities we serve.”
Lindsay Doray, chief Development officer of Second Chance, added that “we are excited to once again partner with Teddy Bear Pools to bring lifesaving vaccines to area pets. This clinic is open to all pet owners — you don’t need to live in Chicopee to register.” Doray also extended gratitude to PetcoLove for its generous grant, which makes this clinic possible.
Second Chance Animal Services also offers weekly, low-cost vaccine clinics at its veterinary hospitals in North Brookfield, Southbridge, Springfield, and Worcester. For more information about Second Chance Animal Services and upcoming community vaccine clinics, visit www.secondchanceanimals.org.
