Seniors Staying Active! Program Encourages Activity to Age Gracefully
DALTON — Two senior-care providers in Berkshire County, Sugar Hill Senior Living Community and Porchlight VNA/Home Care, have teamed up to design Seniors Staying Active!
Beginning on Thursday, Oct. 1, the program will be offered for five weeks on each Thursday from 3 to 4 p.m. at Sugar Hill, located at 45 Main St., Dalton. Led by Porchlight VNA/Home Care’s registered occupational therapist, Lynn Proulx, sessions will combine stretching, strengthening, and balance exercises with education in a fun, energetic setting. By joining the program, Berkshire-area seniors age 55 years and older will be encouraged to stay active while aging gracefully.
There is no cost for participants, and transportation is available by registering ahead of time with Sugar Hill’s social worker, Ann Shartrand, at (413) 663-0071.
