Sisu Wellness Center to Host Grand Opening on Sept. 28

EASTHAMPTON — Sisu Wellness Center will host its grand-opening event on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 40 Maine Ave., Easthampton.

What began in April 2023 as a modest operation with just two offices and two practitioners has blossomed into a thriving, 4,084-square-foot space. Sisu is now home to 16 diverse practitioners, a full-service yoga studio, and a community gathering area called the Community Zen Den, which is able to accommodate large groups of people for various workshop experiences. The center has also launched a successful line of wellness products, including medicinal tea, candles, and skin and hair oils.

Sisu Wellness Center draws its name from the Finnish concept of ‘sisu,’ a term that embodies stoic determination, resilience, courage, grit, and willpower — qualities that resonate deeply with the center’s mission to guide individuals on their unique healing journeys using both Eastern and Western medicine.

Owned by Natasha Perrone, a seasoned reiki and reflexology practitioner, and Betty Coyne, an IT expert turned Cornell University-certified medicinal-plants expert, aura photographer, and sound healer, Sisu Wellness Center is on a mission to make wellness more affordable and accessible. Working alongside a collaborative network of skilled practitioners and local business owners, Perrone and Coyne have created a welcoming space in the heart of Easthampton where community members can seek physical, mental, and spiritual relief.

Sisu Wellness Center offers a wide range of services, including massage therapy, Tibetan medicine, reiki, sound healing, reflexology, psychotherapy, yoga, somatic healing, integrative health coaching, and much more. The Community Zen Den features events such as artist receptions, candle-making classes, kids’ yoga, self-care workshops, and other community gathering opportunities.

“Healing is not one-size-fits-all,” Perrone said. “By offering a diverse array of expert services, high-quality wellness products, and education, we’re empowering people to become more mindful, discover their true selves, and find relief in a way that works for them.”

Attendees of the grand-opening event can meet Sisu’s practitioners, experience free chair massage and sound healing, and explore the Community Zen Den. Sisu will also hold exclusive promotions and raffles to celebrate the occasion. There will be refreshments, including snacks, artisanal tea, and fresh coffee. The first 50 signups will also receive goodie bags.
