Springfield Partners to Present Challenged Diabetes Program
SPRINGFIELD — Springfield Partners for Community Action Inc. is sponsoring the Challenged Diabetes Program, hosted by Chet Galaska, author of The Diabetes Book: What Everyone Should Know, and featuring community coach Vicki Anderson. The event will be held on Wednesdays, Sept. 12, 19, and 26 from 6 to 7 p.m., at Springfield Partners, 721 State St., Springfield. Call (413) 263-6500 to reserve a seat. The event is free and open to the public.

Springfield Partners is the Commonwealth’s designated anti-poverty agency serving the city of Springfield. Its mission is “to utilize and provide resources that assist people in need to obtain economic stability, ultimely creating a better way of life.” It aims to accomplish that mission through various programs and services, including financial literacy, credit counseling, weatherization, veteran services, free tax assistance, eviction clinic, home-buyer education, and early education and care.
