Springfield Rescue Mission to Provide Full Christmas Meals to Go on Dec. 23
SPRINGFIELD — The Springfield Rescue Mission will provide meals in to-go containers to the community on Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 23.
Following its regular breakfast from 7 to 7:45 a.m., people are invited to stop by between 1 and 3 p.m. to pick up a traditional Christmas meal of roast pork, mashed potatoes, and all the fixings, including pie for dessert. These meals will be provided in to-go containers only.
“Nothing can ever change the true meaning of Christmas,” said Sabra Ramsdell, wife of Kevin Ramsdell, the mission’s executive director and CEO. “This year is not the same as in years past — and, for the people we serve, even more difficult. But we have an awesome God that never looks away and never abandons us. When we are faithful, he provides. He will provide his blessings and provision for us each and every day.”
