State Rep. Mindy Domb to Host Virtual Teach-in on Understanding and Using COVID-19 Data
AMHERST — In an effort to build awareness about the Commonwealth’s reporting of COVID-19 data, state Rep. Mindy Domb will host a virtual teach-in aimed at increasing participants’ knowledge about what data is collected, what it means, and how it can be used to develop effective programs and messages. Presenters will review how testing reveals infection and what information is used to build the data report from the state.
The event will be held Thursday, Sept. 24 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Speakers include Ann Becker, a public-health nurse at UMass Amherst; Kathleen Szegda from the Public Health Institute of Western Masaschusetts; and Maddie Ribble from the Massachusetts Public Health Assoc.
