Tania M. Barber Learning Institute Hosts Grand Opening
SPRINGFIELD — On Sept. 27, the Tania M. Barber Learning Institute at Caring Health Center of Springfield hosted a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The Learning Institute aims to hone entry-level skills in passionate individuals, addressing critical staffing needs in the community health and dental sector in the region. The event granted local legislators and a variety of stakeholders the opportunity to celebrate the occasion with Caring Health Center staff and administrators while touring the location.
“This institute, without a doubt, will be a life-changing force in our community,” state Sen. Adam Gomez said. “It has the potential to nurture talent, create opportunities, and drive innovation. The impact the Tania M. Barber Learning Institute will have on the lives of individuals, enabling them to achieve their dreams, is immeasurable.”
Founded in 1995, Caring Health Center of Springfield strives to offer affordable and accessible care regardless of economics, ethnicity, or beliefs. Named after Caring Health Center President and CEO Tania Barber, the Tania M. Barber Learning Institute seeks to transform lives for many in the community while solving the need for well-trained dental assistants, community health workers, front-end operations staff, and medical assistants.
