Tapestry Health Celebrates Grand Opening of New WIC Office in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD — Tapestry Health, nonprofit healthcare provider in Western Mass., announced the grand opening of its new WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) office location at 281 Cottage St., Springfield.

To celebrate the move, Tapestry Health WIC will host an open house on Tuesday, July 29 from 10 a.m. to noon. Community members are invited to tour the new space, meet the team, (including Tapestry Health CEO Mavis Nimoh), and enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities. The event will feature a ribbon cutting, raffle prizes, free children’s books, food demonstrations, a local farmers market, and community resource tables.

“We had been at the Mason Square WIC office for 20 years. We’re thrilled to continue serving families in Springfield and surrounding towns from our new location,” said Kerri Jenkins, program director of Springfield North WIC. “It’s a first-floor building with plenty of parking; beautiful, large windows; and updated signage, just to name a few. We think our participants will feel the same excitement and warm welcome when they visit. This space allows us to better support the health and nutrition of our community.”

Tapestry Health provides inclusive community health services and resources, offering services in sexual and reproductive health, harm reduction, mobile health, and food access. Through its WIC program, Tapestry supports families with access to healthy food, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and referrals to healthcare and social services.
