Tapestry Health to Host Walk for Every Body in Northampton on Sept. 28
NORTHAMPTON — Tapestry Health, a nonprofit healthcare provider in Western Mass., is announced the Walk for Every Body, a community walk and celebration in support of individual autonomy, access to care, and health equity for all. The event takes place on Sunday, Sept. 28, followed by a block party at the finish line of the walk on Strong Avenue in downtown Northampton.
The Walk for Every Body is more than just a fundraiser; it’s a joyful day of action, welcoming all community members to come together and champion reproductive and sexual healthcare, harm reduction, and WIC nutrition services in Western Mass.
The block party will include remarks from state Sen. Jo Comerford and state Rep. Lindsay Sabadosa, a banned book drag story time, live music and local food, and a family-friendly activity tent.
“Our vision for the future is a world where health is a human right, accessible to all, and free from social and structural inequities,” says Mavis Nimoh, CEO of Tapestry Health. “With your help, we can continue to provide high-quality, vibrant, effective, and inclusive care in these uncertain times and beyond. Now is the time to join our energies and advance the work. If you agree with our mission and vision, please show your support. Together, we can make a difference.”
Walk registration and fundraising is open now. Proceeds support Tapestry’s mission to provide accessible, inclusive care across Western Mass., including STI testing and treatment, birth control, gender-affirming care, overdose prevention, and nutritional support through WIC.
